The start-up of the Drozdy (Belarus) Hydroelectric Power Plant has been completed, in which we installed four turbines (rotor diameter d = 830 mm) with vertical shafts, powered with siphon pipelines. The plant was built on an existing weir - a very unique architectural and engineering concept involving the installation of two turbines on the left bank and the other two on the right bank of the weir. Furthermore, it is possible to reach other river bank via a specially designed bridge, which is also a part of the plant building. View the picture gallery.
