In June 2013 we activated the Szabany (Belarus) hydro-electric power station. This interesting facility makes use of treated water from the municipal sewage treatment plant in Mińsk.

Two installed turbines with horizontal shafts of S type with rotor diameter d = 1090 mm are fed by steel pipelines (each turbine separately) with diameter DN1600 and length of 125 metres. Thanks to this head of 8.5 metres in height has been obtained.

A curiosity is the built small container just behind the outflow of suction pipes. During the operation of turbine sets, the level of water rises and the water starts to overflow through the walls on which ?steel teeth? were mounted ? they are used to aerated the water before it flows out to the river.

The Szabany hydro-electric power station is already a third facility on the territory of Mińsk city, which is provided with appliances of our production. Over the previous years we have manufactured turbines for the hydro-electric power stations Chizhovka and Drozdy.
